We offer a wide array of dance classes including ballet, modern, tap, jazz and private singnng lessons.

We follow the Royal Accademy of Dancing syllabus for ballet and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus for modern and tap.

We consider the latest research into learning methods and use a carefully developed range of teaching styles to stimulate each child and help them engage with their own learning process.Sympathetic testing methods check pupils understanding and development, which is why we offer internal medal exams; Bronze,silver and gold awards are to prepare them for external RAD and ISTD exams

Harlequin Stage School also participates in dance festivals.The purpose of these is educational, providing an opportunity for good amateur dancers to recieve judgement of eminent professionals,to gain experimental knowledge,to benefit from seeing others taking part, and to develop confidence by demonstrating their artistic ability before critical and appreciative audiences.

Your child may be selected to participate in festivals for which a full commitment must be made. Extra lessons will be arranged for your child which they will be expected to attend. Emphasis is put on full parental support and involvement with rehearsals being carried out at home.

Private singing lessons are available for pupils aged eleven and above.These lessons include the teaching of the correct vocal warm up,breathing and delivery of musical theatre songs.This will provide a portfolio of songs suitable for the individual voice.These lessons are very limited and there is a waiting list in place.

We also have the benefit of profesional teachers coming from all over the country to Harlequin Stage School to carry out various dance and musical theatre workshops for the pupils
